Five Questions with...
Creator Chris Hartmann

1) What project are you currently working on?
My current project is called "The Infected Web comic." It's about a boy and his sister who wake up in a city with no recollection as to how they got there. They soon realize that all the cities superheroes have been infected by a virus that turns them into flesh eating monsters. Chaos ensues... I've been working on it for over a year now with my friend and really cool artist Dave Mims. He's been really great to work with and the fan reaction has been great so far.

2) Who in your field do you admire most and why?
As far as the people I admire the most. I'm really into the artistic side of comic books. Not that a good story doesn't rank right up there in importance but the art is something that instantly attracts the readerís eye. Because of this my favorite artists include Joe Madureira, Gabriel Ba, and Riley Rossmo. Their art is so cool and to me it stands out among their fellow artists. The same thing can be said about Daveís work in our comic. I'm all about standing out and being different.

3) How did you get into the comic book field?
To be honest I've only been doing this for about two years now. I realized early on that I can't draw well enough to make my own successful comic so I began writing and designing character backgrounds. After talking to some people online I met Dave who liked the idea and the rest is history.

4) Which title would you most like to work on and why?
Well, that's a tough one so I'd have to go with my favorite comic book character. Any of the Batman story lines would be awesome to work on. I've read just about every book that has been printed. The blend of his dark personality and even darker villains never gets old.

5) What project will you be working on next?
I've got two projects that are in the works right now: "The High Priest" and "Victoria." Along with those two titles, Dave and I are hoping to launch our own comic label in the coming new year. Wish us luck!
