Five Questions with...
Artist Dwayne Biddix

1) What project are you currently working on?
I am currently drawing and inking a nine-issue arc in an upcoming “Crossed” comic from Avatar Press.

2) Who in your field do you admire most and why?
That is hard because I really love a lot of artists. From an artistic standpoint I really love Adam Hughes’s art. No one is better at him telling a story in a single image and he does it beautifully. But from a personal standpoint I really admire Ray Anthony Height. He has mentored me and has given me so many chances to get my work out there.

3) How did you get into the comic book field?
I did some self-publish and small publisher stuff but my first real project was inking and doing fill in through Viz comics on a “Redakai” comic. After that I sent samples in to other places and was hired by Avatar Press.

4) Which title would you most like to work on and why?
Hmm. I think I would love to work on the “X-Men.” I have always been a fan of them. I think I always will be.

5) What project will you be working on next?
Not sure yet. I am contracted with Avatar for a few years so I will be doing one of their amazing books. I have some other personal things in the works but those are far down the road. But I will be doing more things! And that is what is awesome!
