Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon (2012)

Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon #5
This ending of the series is disappointing. It is confusing and hard to follow. Worse yet, it’s boring. Rated teen plus, it’s for die-hard Holmes fans.

Sherlock Holmes the Liverpool Demon #4 (of 5)
We find the detective and his sidekick in the tunnels under Liverpool looking for clues to bring in killer Springheeled Jack. The story is a bit chatty but leaves the reader waiting for the conclusion. Rated teen plus.

Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon #2 (of 5)
This issue reads more like a book than a comic book. That being said, it is an interesting story with Sherlock Holmes following the trail of clues to find the killer dubbed “Springheeled Jack.” The last panel promises more bloody intrigue in the next issue. Rated teen plus, it is a solid read.

Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon #1
Leah Moore and John Reppion do a fine job of setting the tone of this book. The whole issue sets the reader up for what’s next. Will the mystery of the demon be revealed? Rated teen plus.
